"Language confused me. The Meta Model seemed to be beyond my grasp. So many patterns – so many patterns and ‘labels’ to learn – each with their own response – and we hadn’t even covered sleight of mouth!
Maybe it was my Practioner training – or maybe it was my inability to grasp the fundamentals of language patterning – but this was a definite area of “I can’t” – and as such was limiting my progress.
So in search of mastery I joined a 3 day programme with Christina Hall – if anyone can get me to learn the labels – it will be this woman. And how right I was – but not at all in the way I expected.
Christina focussed on Action – Language in Action -it should have given me a clue. On ambiguity, on presupposition, on chunking, on time, on purpose, on change. And suddenly for me the world of possibilities opens up – and the ‘labels’ are unimportant – because I can recognise the patterns.
So in search of even greater mastery I went to the States to train with Christina on a 12 day language intensive. This was raising the bar big time for me – and my learning has been profound.
In my work as an executive coach I am more flexible and fluent – I can instantly recognise pivotal points in conversations with my clients – and have the versatility to use these to evoke change – immediate and effective. And I still don’t think about the labels – just about the patterns and the presuppositions that support them – so thank you Christina – for opening up a whole new world to my once dull ears."

"I have taken The Language Intensive program taught by Chris Hall and found it to be the most useful and powerful NLP class that I have ever taken. I utilize the information from the class in all aspects of my verbal communications.
I am both a NASA scientist and an NLP Trainer. In my work at NASA, the information in Chris's class has enabled me to understand subtleties of interpersonal communications for which I was formerly totally unaware.
It has enabled me to understand what was said, and more importantly, what was not said. This understanding has allowed me to communicate in a governmental setting far more effectively and has contributed to great career success.
With regards to NLP, Chris's material has tremendously increased my effectiveness. The standard NLP patterns that I have been doing for years are now far more effective. Minor changes in my wording when doing standard NLP have greatly increased the effectiveness of the techniques.
I strongly recommend this class to anyone who has the prerequisites NLP training. "

"Chris, I'd like to express my gratitude for your continued, unstinting
generous work in the world of NLP. I've continued to be inspired by
your exemplifying how to follow a 'path with a heart,
taking the one less travelled by' in NLP and
'making all the difference'."

Hi Dave,
Good to hear from you yesterday. As requested I’m delighted to offer the below testimonial. I tried to shorten it but well, when talking about your training with Christina Hall I could write pages on how much I appreciated it. Well, this is my testimonial –
All the best
Tony
If you have been captivated by the sheer potential that NLP insights have to offer but was frustrated when trying to apply NLP techniques that don’t seem to fully fit the unique situations you’ve encounter; If you have a compelling sense that there must be more to discover about how to uncover the hidden things that lie within the structure of somebody’s subjective experience; if you are seeking a way to clearly decipher, illuminate and simplify the complexities of how we maintain the structures that support perceived limitations with a passion for making possibilities open up where once there were none, then please attend any trainings conducted by Dr Christina Hall and hosted by Dave Rogers.
I have explored NLP for 10 years and have attended many training, but I have found none that even come close to the profoundly powerful and surprisingly accessible insights taught by Dr Hall. The information she imparts with humour, respect, joy and playful delight, in my opinion, is unique in its depth and usefulness for achieving seemingly magical results in unlocking human potential.
Yes, the course is about the magic of language in all its form. Yes, you will explore the NLP Milton Model, Meta Model, Slight of Mouth patterns and many, many other fascinating aspects in ways that are truly unique and revolutionary for simplifying application and revealing deep structurally magical changes. But most of all I came away from my time with Dr Hall deeply moved by her ability to enrich in my life a profound appreciation for the uniqueness of others.
8 months after training with Dr Hall I'm still amazed at how much I have gained from attending. I think you will be equally impressed with this course but please, please, please don’t take my word for it – experience this training for yourself.

Hello everyone,
Such time has passed since first we met! I love looking at the photos and enjoy how they are refreshing my memory.
Since Michi put a question out which was "what are some of the ways you are already noticing the training unfolding into your life?" I must answer
How do I love that question? Let me count the ways...(ha).
While I am being mischievous, I will throw in one of my favourites from Einstein, Not everything that counts can be counted and not everything that can be counted counts.
So...I am loving language all the more, deeply, reverently, and lightly and irreverently. I agree that those 6 days in Warlingham were and still are very special. I learned masses from all of your questions and shared insights...heaps and masses that I am still sorting through...so, thank you.
And to answer the question more specifically, I am noticing rep system predicates more than previously, and this presents me with the gift of choice in my communicating. I am also far more aware of where/when I am storing experiences (as tipped off by my own language) and have been and am cleaning up my own wording as I live and breathe!
I'm also turning my attention to the metaprograms implied by my phrasing and that of others. Again, more choice. Of course, picking up on these and doing something purposeful with that insight, well I continue to work on that, aint perfect but it's all good. And of course this is what I am consciously aware of so there's gotta be more, which is comforting!!
I've also performed the 'state a limitation in 7 words' piece on myself and enjoyed where I went. It tasks me to shake off the state of the problem to be able to ask myself a question that elicits forward movement. That in itself was/is a body of/in learning!
Another thing...I like to swim and decided to combine my lane swimming (which can be boring unless re-purposed to a higher logical level!) and so decided to layer Chris's exercise for Reframing as a Transformative Tool into swimming. Taking an issue/situation I had perceived previously to be "less than super", I choose a reframe at the start of the lane and swim out in time, stop at the top and look back down the lane acknowledging, then swim back taking all that back to the starting point then look back at how my perspective has changed. It's very cool (as is the water) and I get feedback about the difference in physical feeling of each of the reframes - some I want to swim slower, I have even stopped swimming stood up then continued, others powering up the lane with great energy. What ways would you do this and what other applications have you played with? I am going to use the exercise with a client next week, so could we get a set of Chris's 16 reframe cards Dave, if you have them?
Lastly (!!) I had the incredible privilege of having my answers to the Setting A Direction exercise recorded by Michi while we were on the program - this recording is a great installation and anchor - every time I see and hear myself expressing what I want, & what I'd already achieved looking back, and how engaged I was and am about it, is A-mazing and UP-lifting. And folks, I was never a fan of being filmed, especially talking, and especially talking about myself, but this bucked the trend and is worth doing. Thanks Michi.
And finally, if you are still reading, then thank you for your precious time, both now and then. Seems I am decreasingly a woman of few words.
